External Relations

The branch of the department operates on the basis of the Kharkiv signaling and communication distance of the Southern Railway.

In 2007, a branch of the department was established on the basis of the Regional Branch of the Center for Postgraduate Education of OJSC “Ukrtelecom” under the leadership of the head of this center Dovbni VD On the basis of the branch laboratory and practical classes are held within the schedule of full-time study in the disciplines of the department: “Automatic telephone communication” and “Switching systems in telecommunications”.

The department is equipped with modern equipment, on the basis of which an educational and training complex of operational and technological communication based on the equipment of SPE “Stalenergo” has been deployed.

The results of the department’s work with related departments of institutes and technical schools that are part of the educational complex:

in the educational process: with Dnipropetrovsk University of Railway Transport, KEMT, HEMT, etc .;
on methodical work: with Dnipropetrovsk University of Railway Transport, KEMT, HEMT, etc .;
on training and advanced training: KEMT, HEMT LTZT (Lviv), etc.
In the field of telecommunications systems (joint research and teaching) the Department of Transport Communications conducts joint research with other departments of Ukrainian universities (KHAI, KNURE, Academy of Internal Forces of Ukraine, Kharkiv University of the Air Force, Odessa Academy of Communications, KhPI, KPI, Lviv Polytechnic, DETUT, DNUZT) and CIS (MIIT, LIIZT).
