Career guidance event at Kharkiv Metro School

On 27 March 2024, the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport (UkrDUZT) held a career guidance event at the Metro School in Kharkiv. The purpose of the event was to introduce high school students to the opportunities of studying at UkrDUZT and various aspects of the modern railway.
As part of the event, the University organised 7 thematic locations.
Each faculty prepared its own location where schoolchildren could take part in thematic games and scientific experiments. The children were able to feel like a dispatcher at the station, get acquainted with information and control technologies, test their English language skills, try their hand at economic games, plunge into the world of building materials by making their first plaster sample, and learn about the turbulent history of railway transport.
The school leavers also had the opportunity to receive a separate consultation from the representatives of the Admissions Committee on the specifics of admission to UkrDUZT in 2024.
The event was attended by more than 300 students from different schools in Kharkiv! They were interested not only in the workshops and equipment, but also in the opportunity to communicate with specialists and get advice on choosing a future profession.
This initiative was another step forward in the direction of active interaction between the University and Kharkiv school graduates, which certainly contributes to the formation of a conscious choice of future profession for the younger generation.
