General characteristics of the educational program

The purpose of the program is to train professionals capable of solving complex problems in the field of professional and / or research and innovation in the field of mechanical engineering, which involves a deep rethinking of existing and the creation of new holistic knowledge and / or professional practice.

The program covers sections of science and technology that study and combine connections and patterns in the theory of operation of industrial engineering.

Methods, techniques and technologies: Analytical, numerical and experimental methods for studying the functioning of industrial engineering, methods for forecasting and managing the reliability and performance of industrial engineering, methods for assessing the efficiency of their production and operation, methods of forming and solving optimization problems in modeling objects and processes of branch mechanical engineering.

Particular attention in the training of specialists is paid to modern methods and techniques of laboratory, bench and operational tests of machines, their individual components, units and other system components; application of computer-aided design systems in the performance of scientific research; methods of selection and optimization of sets of machines in the performance of cargo, construction, track works and works on extraction, processing and transportation of minerals; development and implementation of resource-saving technologies in the construction of technological machines at all stages of their life cycle.

Recipients of the Educational Program

The program is addressed to applicants who have received a diploma of specialist and / or master in the field of knowledge 13 – Mechanical Engineering and are interested in improving their skills to the level of scientist – Doctor of Philosophy in the specialty 133 – Industrial Engineering.

The main aspect of the program is the formation of highly qualified scientific personnel for the transport, construction, machine-building, mining and metallurgical industries, capable of making scientifically sound management decisions for effective design, production and operation of technological machines.

Postgraduate students study in certified branch laboratories “Chemical” and “Mechanization and automation of loading and unloading”, training laboratory”Nanotechnology and Transport”, equipped with modern equipment.

During their studies, graduate students take part in research work (including paid work) conducted by the graduating department commissioned by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Ukrzaliznytsia, Kharkiv Metro, machine-building, metallurgical, mining and concentrating enterprises.The main directions of such works are: development and implementation of nanotechnologies in machine designs, saving of oil products, increasing machine reliability by reducing friction and wear, development of modern means of mechanization and automation, development of diagnostics and repair of hydraulic drive elements.
