ERASMUS+ 2021-2027

The European Commission has officially announced the opening of a new EU Erasmus + Program for 2021-2027. The program will focus on three areas – education and professional development, youth and sport.

The main objectives of the program will be the following:

• promoting academic mobility in the field of education and professional development
• promoting non-formal and informal learning mobility in the youth field
• promoting the educational mobility of sports personnel.

With a budget of over 26 billion euros, the new program will be more international, inclusive, digital and environmentally friendly!

Erasmus + is the European Union’s program of international cooperation with the rest of the world in the fields of education, youth and sport, which aims to support the educational, professional and personal development of EU citizens and beyond to contribute to sustainable growth, jobs and social cohesion, to develop innovation and strengthen European identity and active citizenship. The program supports opportunities for learning and academic mobility in education and for youth, projects and partnerships, and the development of strategies and collaboration.

Key priorities of the Program in the fields of education, vocational training, youth and sports for 2021-2027 are:

quality of education and training, inclusion and gender equality, green and digital transformations, teachers’ and mentors’ training, higher education, geopolitical dimension.In addition, support for teaching, training and research on European integration, in particular on the future challenges and opportunities of the EU within the framework of Jean Monnet, continues.New competitions will be held in October / November 2021, but some competitions are still open until September and October. 2 lots of alliances for innovation development; centers of professional excellence; 2nd round of mobility projects for young people.The new phase, within the international dimension, expands opportunities for cooperation in the field of education to meet the objectives of the European Education Area, the Digital Education Action Plan, the European Competence Program and other EU strategies.The 2021-2027 programme  places a strong focus on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people’s participation in democratic life. Opportunities are open to different types of organizations.
