In 2007 she graduated from the Ukrainian State Academy of Railway Transport with a degree in Wagons. Candidate of Technical Sciences since 2013. She defended her dissertation in the specialized scientific council K 26.885.01 in the State Enterprise “State Research Center of Railway Transport of Ukraine” of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine in the specialty 05.22.07 – “Rolling stock and train traction”. Theme of dissertation work: Improvement of bearing designs of bodies of gondola cars for maintenance of reliability of their fixing on railway ferries [Text] author’s ref. dis. Cand. tech. Alyona O. Lovska is Doctor of Technical Sciences and defended a thesis in Specialty 05.22.07 “Rolling Stock and Train Traction” in the specialized academic council D64.820.04 in 2021.The subject of the thesis was “Development of scientific foundations for calculating wagon structures by taking into account the above-norm cases of their operation”. Scientific consultant – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Fomin O. V.

Scientific activity direction:

Investigation into the dynamics and strength of bearing structures of rail cars in operational loading modes.

Author:

Alyona O. Lovska is an author of more than 300 scientific papers, over 60 of which are included in Scopus and WoS indexed journals with the Q1 and Q2 ranking, a holder of over 50 patents of Ukraine. One monograph was translated in English and published in Tallinn (Estonia). She is a co-author of a textbook for the discipline “Foundations of Oscillation Theory and Strength of Rolling Stock” and nine teaching and learning guides. She is a member of the editorial board of the Collected Scientific Papers of Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport and a reviewer of Ukrainian specialized and international publications included in Scopus indexed journals.

Awards and diplomas:

2009: granted the Mykhailo Hrushevsky Academic Scholarship to graduate and post-graduate students of higher educational establishments.
2021: became a winner in the All-Ukrainian Competition for Young Scientists in the category “Transport and Transport Technologies”.
2021: received acknowledgement from the mayor of Kharkiv of high professionalism and valuable contribution into the development of education and science of Kharkiv, and for the training of highly qualified specialists for Ukrainian economy.
