In 1978 he graduated from the Kharkiv Institute of Transport Engineers majoring in “Diesel locomotives and locomotive industry”.
PhD in Engineering Science since 1991. He defended his PhD thesis at the specialized scientific board at the Moscow Institute of Transport Engineers in specialty 05.22.07 – rolling stock and train traction.The subject of the thesis was “Development of methods for adjusting the maintenance technology TO-3 according to statistical information”. His research advisor was D.Sc. (Tech), Professor E. Tartakovskii.
Doctor of Engineering Science since 2014. He defended his doctoral thesis at the specialized scientific board D 64.820.04 in specialty 05.22.07 – rolling stock and train traction. The subject of the thesis was “Development of scientific bases for determining the locomotive maintenance system when extending the service life beyond the normative one”. His research advisor was D.Sc. (Tech), Professor E. Tartakovskii.
Scientific activity direction:
Scope of scientific interests: locomotive maintenance system in case of extension of service life beyond the standard, scientific substantiation of locomotive maintenance technology, assessment of the impact on the reliability of locomotive load-bearing structures of their properties, operational factors and loads.
