Ukrainian universities are severely limited in their functionality due to the war. An obstacle to high-quality teaching is the fact that buildings and infrastructure in Ukrainian cities are partially damaged or destroyed, and teachers, as a result of military operations, have been forced to flee to other cities of Ukraine, other countries, or are on military service. Despite the destruction, Ukrainian universities are trying to ensure the educational process in a digital format. In this regard, bbw University of Applied Sciences (Berlin, Germany) offers assistance to Ukrainian displaced teachers in their teaching activities and continuing their academic careers.
The program direction ” Ukraine Digital: ensuring academic success in times of crisis” aims to ensure that students in Ukraine have the opportunity to complete their studies, despite the restrictions imposed by the war, by awarding scholarships within the framework of the project. Bbw University of Applied Sciences awards 75 scholarships to students of the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport, who are displaced and suffered as a result of military operations.
