Main areas of activity: Research work on the development of modern microprocessor control systems for railway traffic, and improvement of operating systems of railway automation.
Main directions of development of railway automation systems:
- Development, improvement and research of modern railway automation systems;
- Research of reliability and functional safety of microprocessor systems of railway automation;
- Research of electromagnetic compatibility of microprocessor and relay systems of railway automation, development of devices of protection against thunderstorms and electromagnetic interference;
- Examination and proof of functional safety of railway automation systems;
- Research of methods and means of technical diagnostics of railway automation systems;
- Research of methods and means of servicing systems and devices of railway automation;
- Research and development of methods of technical vision and automation of video surveillance;
- Thermal imaging diagnostics of railway automation devices.
Directions of development of systems and devices of railway automation.
- Research, development and improvement of automatic crossing alarm systems;
- Development, improvement and implementation of modern microprocessor and relay control systems for points and signals;
- Development and implementation of automatic and semi-automatic locking systems;
- Development and improvement of coordinate control systems for train traffic;
- Development and research of information and control systems at sorting stations;
- Development and implementation of microprocessor control dispatch systems for train movement and condition of railway automation devices;
- Development and improvement of power supply devices for railway automation systems;
- Research and modernization of equipment of tonal rail circuits.
During the work of the laboratory more than 10 theoretical and experimental research works on improvement of systems and devices of railway automation were performed.
