About the department

The department is one of the educational and scientific structural subdivisions of the higher educational institution of educational support of carrying out of educational and methodical, research and educational work, is responsible for realization of the state policy in the field of education. The organization of the department meets the requirements of the new economic policy in accordance with the needs of society in the training of economic specialists of a new quality. The department has created all the necessary conditions, as well as formed a highly qualified teaching staff to train specialists.

The department is constantly improving the educational process, working on the development and publication of textbooks and modern educational and methodological support, introduces new disciplines, given the requirements of the labor market offers training for new educational programs, actively introduces new forms and methods of teaching, forms specialists have the knowledge, skills and practical experience of students to perform work in various areas of accounting, analysis, auditing and taxation. In addition, much attention is paid to the adaptation of specialists to modern market conditions. Students gain in-depth knowledge of the organization and administration of accounting procedures of enterprises of various forms of ownership, state regulation of accounting and taxation, budgeting and strategic management, determination of accounting policies of enterprises and internal control of its observance; acquire skills of interpretation of economic indicators presented in the financial statements of enterprises, and develop on their basis management decisions on the creation and operation of modern competitive production, analysis of economic activity, work planning, resource management. The teaching staff of the Department of Accounting and Auditing conducts research and has close ties with enterprises in various fields. The results of scientific developments are effectively implemented in the educational process, used in lectures and practical knowledge. To increase the practical level of training of specialists at the department, a computer class was created, where 20 PCs equipped with applied accounting programs were installed.

The department trains specialists with educational and qualification levels as a bachelor and master for all sectors of the national economy of Ukraine.

The department has close creative ties with PJSC “Ukrainian Railways”, its regional branches and structural units, the Ukrainian Association of Accountants and Auditors, Ukrainian enterprises and foreign partners in both research and development.
