Branch research laboratory of electric railcar rolling stock

Established in 2006 to fulfill Ukrzaliznytsia’s orders for scientific support for the creation and improvement of electric railcars, organization and conduct of its acceptance tests, strengthening competitiveness, as well as providing methodological assistance and development of practical recommendations, subject to the consent of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine (Order №82 of 06.09.206. UkrSART, letter № 4358/16 / 10-06 of 04.07.2006 of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine, letter №CZT-12/372 of 19.04.2006 of Ukrzaliznytsia).

Scientific adviser of laboratory: since 2006 р. – Ph.D., associate professor  Sergey Yatsko

The main activities of laboratory:

• participation in the creation and testing of electric trains of direct and alternating current type;
• development of regulatory documentation;
• inspection, testing and assessment of technical condition;
• energy and resource saving.
