The department maintains relations with the language center of the Erlangen-Nuremberg University (publication of joint scientific works – V.I. Goverdovsky), Lviv Stavropigion University (Resource Center for Scientific Research), the departments of English, German and French languages of the V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, О. М. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv, H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University and National Academy For Public Administration under The President of Ukraine (traineeship, scientific and methodological conferences, seminars, etc.).

Assistant lecturers of the department take part in seminars and conferences of the “TESOL” – the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language in Ukraine.

The department cooperates with the Kharkiv South Railway Station. The department staff developed a Ukrainian-Russian-English-German-French-Polish phrasebook for railway workers, which was tested during the training of employees of railway departments for Euro – 2012. The instructors of the department assisted the Kharkiv South Railway Station during the meeting of foreign guests.

The department takes part in the international program «TEMPUS», which includes the development and translation of educational programs for the creation of an open transport space.

The partnership with Silesian University of Technology provides a unique opportunity for teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages to participate in remote webinars and trainings.

n July 2020 the university began collaborating with the National University of Commerce in Japan.

As part of the academic teacher’s mobility of the Ukrainian state university of railway transport occurs scientific cooperation with Azerbaijan Technical University.
