Educational and methodical work of the department covers all types of methodical work and is consistent with the main directions of the department. It is aimed at improving the teaching of academic disciplines assigned to the department, optimizing and intensifying the educational process, improving its methodological support, improving the pedagogical skills of the teaching staff.

	Dispatch control of train traffic on high-speed and high-speed railways Tutorial S. Panchenko, T.Butko, A. Prokhorchenko, L. Rybalchenko, O. Shander The textbook presents the basic principles of organization of train traffic on high-speed railways (HSR), world experience in this matter, control systems for train traffic on HSR and existing methods of calculating the capacity of HSR sections. The schedule of high-speed trains, its classification, technical and economic characteristics are considered. Attention is also paid to the work of traffic control centers at HSR, their structure and functions, the regulations of traffic control of high-speed trains. The organization of work of HSR lines in the conditions of allocation in the schedule of movement of technological “windows” is reflected. Automation of train traffic control at HSR and software systems for optimizing the schedule of high-speed trains are analyzed in sections. The system of interaction between HSR and conventional railway lines is considered.

The basic principles of automation of technological processes of planning and management of railway passenger transportations in direct and suburban connections are considered. Examples of all questions and their solutions are given. Recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine as a textbook for students of higher educational institutions

The classification and functional purpose of stations, the basic documents regulating their work, requirements to management are resulted. The technology and methods of standardization of shunting work are considered. The technology of work and management at intermediate, precinct, sorting stations, as well as their features at freight, passenger and other types of stations, information on operational planning, accounting, reporting, work in the winter, technology of railway junctions. Methods of calculation of the routing plan from places of loading and formation of trains at technical stations and in areas of local work are resulted.
