The department has 5 specialized classrooms and laboratories with a total area of 421 m², including a computer lab. The auditoriums are equipped with multimedia systems, visual materials and posters on railway track structures, models of cross-sections of the subgrade, cross-crossing switches, rail fasteners of various types, defective rails according to the catalogue, etc. The department’s laboratories are equipped with stands for track sections on reinforced concrete and wooden sleepers, 1/9 grade switches on wooden bars and 1/11 grade switches on reinforced concrete bars, small mechanization equipment for track maintenance and track repair work, track tools, diagnostic devices such as track templates and calipers, dynamometers, displacement indicators, thermometers, etc.
