Opening of a training geodetic laboratory

Modern innovative technologies for designing roads, geodetic support of the construction industry requires a wide range of tasks related to the creation of state geodetic networks, the basis for cartographic and topographic surveys.

Modern geodesy is an accurate measurement of directions, distances and heights on the Earth’s surface. High accuracy and computer technologies for processing arrays of measurement data allow to effectively solve the problem of building a digital model of the terrain, construction of buildings and structures, including roads, airfields, bridges, tunnels.

In the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport on the basis of the Department of Research and Design of Railways, Geodesy and Land Management created a training, geodetic laboratory, the grand opening of which took place on 19.12.2019.

The laboratory is equipped with modern geodetic equipment and software.

Students of the Lyubotyn Vocational Lyceum of Railway Transport were involved in the opening of the branch laboratory.
