On December 22, 2022, the UNECE International Seminar on Trade and Transport Promotion “REGULATION OF ELECTRONIC INFORMATION FOR TRUCK TRANSPORT, UN CEFACT SEMANTIC STANDARDS AND MULTIMODAL TRANSPORT DATA REFERENCE MODEL” was held

This webinar continues the tradition of UNECE workshops on Trade Facilitation, Single Window and Data Sharing in Digital Trade Corridors. However, this webinar goes further to respond to the expressed need of regulatory authorities and the business community in Ukraine to deepen the European integration process, joining the parallel promotion of the EU Single Window and Electronic Freight Information (eFTI) Regulations and the UN/CEFACT Single Window Recommendation. semantic standards and the multimodal transport reference data model (MMT RDM).
The aim of the workshop is to familiarize relevant stakeholders in Ukraine with the essence of the eFTI initiative and how UN/CEFACT global standards and reference data models can contribute to achieving its goals.
Professor, head of the Department of Transport Systems and Logistics prof. D.V. Lomotko took part in the seminar. It was noted that in the process of preparing the webinar, stakeholders in Ukraine and other Eastern Partnership countries expressed interest in involving relevant politicians and experts from other Eastern Partnership countries in this initial training.
