On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, with the support of N`UNIT, a field trip was conducted to the Kharkiv intermodal terminal of N`UNIT-Kharkiv Terminal for students of bachelor’s and master’s levels of the educational program “Organization of International Transportation” specialty 275.02 – Transport technologies (railway transport) and teachers of the Department of Operational Management and guarantors of educational programs. This helps to maintain the quality of training for the formation of qualified professionals in the labor market.
The organizer of the tour, the director of the terminal Oliynyk Kyrylo Anatoliyovych together with the director of the Odessa Transport and Logistics Center – OTLC Yakunenko Oleksiy Mykolayovych told the listeners the principles of forming the market of container transportation and terminal services in Ukraine. During the tour, students were introduced to the organization of the terminal as a dry port, the peculiarities of traffic at the terminal, the location of the customs post and the technological process of handling cargo transported in containers in the export-import service. The process of submitting a group of fitting platforms with containers for unloading from the arriving container train and disbanded at the Kharkiv-Sortuvalny technical station was clearly studied. Students and teachers of the department gained visual knowledge about the organization of N’UNIT, which is one of the most influential players in the market of intramodal transportation, covering 90% of Ukraine’s own and partner network. The company together with partners organizes regular export-import railway transportation from / to the ports of Greater Odessa and Klaipeda.
