Dispatch control of train traffic on high-speed and high-speed railways

The textbook presents the basic principles of organization of train traffic on high-speed railways (HSR), world experience in this matter, control systems for train traffic on HSR and existing methods of calculating the capacity of HSR sections. The schedule of high-speed trains, its classification, technical and economic characteristics are considered. Attention is also paid to the work of traffic control centers at HSR, their structure and functions, the regulations of traffic control of high-speed trains. The organization of work of HSR lines in the conditions of allocation in the schedule of movement of technological “windows” is reflected. Automation of train traffic control at HSR and software systems for optimizing the schedule of high-speed trains are analyzed in sections. The system of interaction between HSR and conventional railway lines is considered.
