Student scientific group «AKADEMISCHES SCHREIBEN»

At the Department of “Foreign Languages”, the “AKADEMISCHES SCHREIBEN” scientific club operates as a voluntary association of students interested in the in-depth study of the department’s disciplines and the development of professional and scientific skills.

In its activities, the club is guided by the principles of equal rights of members of the club, self-government, openness and transparency, and the organic connection of research work with the educational process.

The head of the club is Kharlamova Elena Nikolaevna, Senior Lecturer.

The purpose of the scientific club “AKADEMISCHES SCHREIBEN” is to familiarize applicants for higher education with the basic principles of academic and pedagogical communication in higher education institutions; the formation of their foundations of academic culture and ethics; providing them with the knowledge and tools necessary to develop sustainable oral and written communication skills.

The main tasks of the club are:

• To give an idea of the essence of the phenomenon of communication and the peculiarities of Ukrainian-language professional communication of scientific and pedagogical workers;
• to familiarize postgraduate students with basic principles and requirements for academic communication;
• to consider the linguistic and speech aspects of academic communication, update knowledge of the Ukrainian language necessary for the implementation of these aspects;
• to analyse the main problems and errors of academic communication;
•  to develop the ability to apply the acquired knowledge, skills and attainment in academic communication in communicative situations related to the presentation of their own scientific research;
• to provide information on the basic requirements for pedagogical communication in the educational process of higher educational institutions;
• to consider typical problems and errors of pedagogical communication in order to prevent them from further teaching;
• to analyze the key to successful communication in the scientific and pedagogical field.

Students and postgraduate students participate in:

•  in International and All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conferences;
•  in specialized exhibitions, round tables, forums, master classes;
•  in Days of Open Doors of student scientific clubs of departments on the basis of the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport.
