The subject of her thesis was: “Stress-strain state of steel shells of negative Gaussian curvature”. Her research advisor was Doctor of Sciences (Physics and Mathematics),  Professor V. Ol’shanskii.

Direction of scientific activity: optimal design of structures.

Author of 80 scientific publications and teaching materials. Obtained 1 patent.

PhD since 2001. She defended her dissertation in a specialized scientific council on the specialty 20.02.12 – “Military cybernetics, control systems and communications”. Dissertation topic is closed, Professor G.Kuchuk.

Ph.D (1998) and D.Sc. in physics and mathematics (2008) from the School of Physics of the Kharkov State University (now V.N. Karazin Kharkov National University), Ukraine.

Dr. Vovk has also been appointed as Professor in the Physics Department at the Ukrainian State Academy of Railway Transport (USART) in Kharkov (since 2000). He served as the Head (Chair) of the General Technical Department and since 2008 he serves as the Head (Chair) of the Physics Department at the USART (Kharkov). He is member of the Editorial Board of the Journal “Vestnik – Bulletin” of V.N. Karazin Kharkov National University, in the series: “Physics”.

Основний напрямок наукової діяльності: a wide range of materials science with the main focus being in high temperature superconductivity and the study of the evolution of anisotropic systems of quasi-particle excitations in quantum fluids.

He is author and co-author of more than 200 papers. He has contributed in international conference more than 70 presentations.

Candidate of technical sciences from 2003. Defense of the thesis  took place in a specialized scientific council D 64.169.01 of Institute for Single Crystals STC “Institute for Single Crystals” of  NAS of  Ukraine, Kharkiv, 2002, by speciality 05.02.01 – Material Science.

Direction of scientific activity: material science, physics of crystals.

Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences since 2008, senior researcher since 2010. He defended his doctor dissertation in the specialized scientific council D 64.05.12 in the specialty 01.04.08 – plasma physics. Dissertation title: “Dielectric properties of a collisionless plasma in the two-dimensional axisymmetric magnetic traps”. Scientific consultant – Doctor of phys.-math. science, prof. Azarenkov M.O.

Candidate of technical sciences since 2005. He defended his dissertation in the specialized academic council K 64.052.05 at the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, Kharkiv, 05.11.17 – biological and medical devices and systems.The subject of his thesis was: “Methods for increasing the diagnostic effectiveness of glucose tolerance tests (based on mathematical modeling of glycemic dynamics)”, Professor A.Bykh

Direction of scientific activity:

Mathematical modeling of homeostatic control systems and development of methods and tools for their diagnosis and management.

Author of the monograph “Functional-structural mathematical modeling of complex homeostatic systems”, more than 68 scientific and educational and methodological works and 6 patents of Ukraine for inventions.

Ph.D since 2016. She defended her dissertation in the specialized scientific council at V.N. Karazina Kharkiv National University, specialty: 01.04.07 – solid state physics.

Direction of scientific activity: High-temperature superconductivity, solid state physics.

In 1979 Liudmyla graduated from H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv State pedagogical institute, specialization “Рhysics and mathematics”.

Direction of scientific activity: application of mathematical models in economics.

Candidate of Science in Physics and Mathematics (Ph.D., Theoretical Physics) since 1997. He defended his Ph.D.-dissertation in the Specialized Academic Council D.64.169.01. on specialty 01.04.02. – Theoretical physics. Dissertation title: “Theoretical investigation of grain boundary solute segregation in polycrystals under conditions of mass transfer by complexes”. Scientific advisers: Member of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Science in Physics and Mathematics, Professor Slezov V.V. and Doctor of Science in Physics and Mathematics, Professor Adamenko I.N.

Direction of scientific activity: Condensed Matter Physics, Diffusion phenomena in condensed matter, Homogeneous nucleation in solid solutions and intermetalides.

Author of 85 scientific publications and teaching materials.

In 2001, after completing postgraduate studies at the Institute of Philosophy named after H.S. Skovorody of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Philosophical Sciences. He received the academic title of associate professor in 2005. Corresponding member of the Transport Academy of Ukraine since 2019.

Direction of scientific activity: Ontology, epistemology, phenomenology; philosophical anthropology; social philosophy and philosophy of history.

Author of over 90 scientific papers and educational materials, including two monographs and two educational guides accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Supervised one PhD candidate in Philosophy.
