The department participates in the development of educational documentation under the EU program TEMPUS IV on high-speed traffic on the railway transport of Ukraine

Part of classes on the discipline “OWM and quality of transportation” is held at the RCC of the Southern Railway, at the branch of the department – Kharkiv-Pasazhyrsky station and South Station with visits to the station workers: on duty at the IRC, train on duty, technical park , repair and equipment depot, railway station, ticket offices, help desk of the Express-UZ system, service center, suburban complex with turnstiles, luggage compartment, storage room, customs post, etc.

The experimental base of the research work of the department are the stations Osnova, Lviv, Lyman, Odesa-Sortuvalna.
